Product Overview
VolToolV2 is a third-generation TCON (Timing Controller) logic board voltage modification tool. It connects to target logic boards via I2C or SPI interfaces, enabling precise adjustment of key voltage parameters including VGH, VGL, VCOM, and GAMMA. Designed for LCD panel repair scenarios, this tool effectively resolves horizontal lines, color cast, and uneven brightness issues that commonly appear after panel modifications or Y-axis break repairs.
Core Features
Standard PMIC Voltage Adjustment
Standard PMICs are DC-DC converter chips with built-in non-volatile memory. They can be programmed directly via the I2C interface — adjusted parameters are saved internally and retained after power-off. Supported chips include RT6943A and other mainstream models.
CS Series Voltage Adjustment
The CS602 and CS603 PMICs from CSOT (China Star Optoelectronics Technology) do not have internal storage. They rely on the TCON main controller to send configuration data via I2C at power-up. Therefore, adjusting voltage on these PMICs requires modifying the firmware stored in the external QSPI Flash on the TCON board.
Note: This method does not apply to TCON boards without a main controller chip (when data is stored in the mainboard's EMMC).
Sony Encrypted ID Copy
Supports reading and copying screen encryption data from Sony original logic boards, storing it in the tool's internal memory. The copied encrypted ID can be written to other logic boards or encryption daughter boards for screen replacement. This is essential when replacing Sony screens to avoid display anomalies caused by encrypted ID mismatches.
GAMMA Curve Calibration
GAMMA correction fine-tunes the grayscale response curve of the LCD panel to improve display quality. This feature is currently under development.
